Is this what they call summer? It would be good to have two consecutive days of sunshine, instead of one day every
other week!
It’s been a hectic few weeks organizing the Summer Ball, the official launch of Ithaca, Didsbury Festival, charity polo matches, the Ladies’ Evening at Haydock with Harvey Nichols, and the odd barbecue.
We had another successful Summer Ball, raising much-needed funds for Genesis. Check out the photos in this issue, and there’s more on the website photo gallery. Thank you to everyone who supported the ball by attending, and a special thank you to all the businesses/individuals for donating such fantastic prizes (page 54). We are looking at venues for our Christmas event, so please register your interest now by emailing christmas@didsburymagazine.com. Details will be released in our September issue
and on the website.
I decided that it was time to get back to the gym, so I recently went along to f2k for my first personal training session. I trained with Chris Clarke about four years ago, so I knew what to expect. I’ve had four personal trainers in the past, but he’s the only one who’s made a difference (well he is ex-army), so I’ll report back in September and let you
know how I’ve got on. No pressure!
The schools break up very soon, so Charlotte’s provided some ideas on days out and what to do with the kids (page 20) just in case you run out of ideas.
Have a great summer and let’s hope the sun shines.
Don’t forget we welcome all feedback and any ideas you may have, so email me at beverley@salutions.co.uk
