Using the internet as a research tool can be extremely valuable but more often than not, kids’ endless ‘browsing habits’ are unproductive when it comes to learning.
Taking part in Shakespeare’s Treasure offers all those kids that love to surf the World Wide Web for hours a chance to put their skills to the test and solve the quest for the treasure. A contest with a valuable treasure to find, it will frustrate, challenge, entertain and amuse inquisitive minds for many hours, but will also provide huge satisfaction and intense pride upon successful completion of the task!
And since all the answers can be found online, young teens will also be honing their research skills in a highly positive way. Visit www.shakespearestreasure.com to find out more about the unique challenge and to purchase and download a special gift voucher.

Eighteen year old Michael Nally from Didsbury has just won St Bede’s College Sportsman of the Year. The College which is the biggest Catholic Independent in the UK has an excellent reputation for Sport, with a number of its students winning international caps for and going on to play for Premiership Football Clubs.
He is pictured here with his proud parents Michael and Geraldine, who said “We are delighted and thrilled about Michael’s Sporting and Academic achievements at the College. Just like his sister he has really enjoyed his time at St Bede’s and has taken full advantage of the opportunities it provided to develop his skills in Sport and in preparing for his external exams.”

Former students and staff from all over the UK returned to St Bede’s College in Manchester recently to celebrate 25 years of co-education. Founded in 1876, it was not until 1984 that the College first admitted girls. The evening began with a reception in the College’s impressive Vaughan Corridor and tours guided by Senior Prefects, with an opportunity to look at old photographs and read back copies of BAEDA, the College magazine.
Headmaster, Michael Barber, said “This was a wonderful occasion. Many current and former pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to reminisce and renew old acquaintances.“ |
