Morris feinmann home wins prestigious award |

Manchester’s Lord Mayor, Councillor Alison Firth, has made a visit to Didsbury’s Morris Feinmann Home to celebrate its recent Dignity in Care award. The home, which opened in 1957, was granted the Daisy emblem award following an exhaustive assessment of the standard of residential and care service it provides for both dependent and independent older people. Care homes that exceed specific standards are branded with the emblem so they can be easily recognised by people looking for quality care. Helen Lister, vice-chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Morris Feinmann Home, said: “We’re delighted the home has been accorded this prestigious status. We’re exceptionally proud of the level of care inside the home and the lengths our staff go to within and outside the remit of their daily jobs. Our residents’ testimonials during the inspection prove we provide outstanding and dignified care for older people in the community.” While the Lord Mayor toured the home’s facilities, she also took great pleasure in presenting one of the residents, Mrs Fraser, a bouquet of flowers to celebrate her 102nd birthday. |
