It’s no fun when I want to read a text message, or the price of something that I want to buy, and I can’t find my glasses! I’ve not only lost my last pair, but the last few pairs. Well I can’t see once I’ve taken them off, so how am I meant to find them? After looking high and low for (far too many) weeks, I had to concede; I’d lost a third pair. I then had to listen to a long lecture from my dear husband about how I neglect my glasses by not using the case and leaving them all over the house - but he did offer to pay for a new pair, albeit for the FINAL time. This time I was determined to find the right frame. My last pair, although I liked the design, kept slipping down my nose. And no matter how many times I had them adjusted, they weren’t comfortable, so I decided to expand my search and googled Manchester opticians. It brought up all of the usual suspects that we see advertising two pairs for the price of one offers, but the one that caught my eye as I scrolled down, was SEEN in St. Ann’s Arcade, St. Ann’s Square. It read - welcome to Seen the coolest opticians on the planet. I liked this, so off I went. As soon as I walked in, I knew immediately that this is where I was going to find what I wanted. I wandered around with my cup of coffee while waiting for my eye test, and I picked up about eight pairs of possibles. I was like a child in a sweet shop because of the vast range. I wear varifocals, which means I need separate prescriptions for reading and distance. The lenses look just like normal ones with no visible dividing lines but they can take a little while to get used to. However, it beats walking around with two pairs of specs in your bag! After my eye test I tried on lots of pairs with the help of the experts at SEEN. I was spoilt for choice, until I eventually narrowed it down to two. It was then down to the teams professional opinion on which frame would best suit the varifocal lenses. Decision made, now all I had to do is wait for two weeks for them to call me. The service…. Without doubt, this is the place to be seen!
